TRAINING
PART WORN TYRES
Tyres are a ‘safety critical item’ and the correct
checking, labelling & fitting of ‘part worn tyres’ is a legal
requirement. The MVDA has written a brief guidance document, which is
free to members and can be downloaded from the members ‘documents’ area.
The MVDA is also working with Training For Profit to deliver on-site training
specifically for part-worn tyres. The course is IMI-accredited, and is
undertaken at your own premises, and involves both theory and practical work.

RECOVERY & STORAGE OF AIR-CON (F) GAS
Due to the change in the law, F Gas qualifications have become a mandatory requirement for the depollution of all End of Life Vehicles. Holding an F Gas certificate will considerably reduce the risk of being prosecuted and will help employees work in a safe and efficient manner when handling dangerous refrigerant gases. This IMI accredited course consists of a small friendly class with expert staff offering training, assessment and accreditation.

SAFE RECOVERY & STORAGE OF PETROL
Recovering & storing petrol is one of the most
hazardous operations carried out by vehicle recyclers. Autodrain offer an IMI accredited award in
the safe recovery and storage of petrol that raises the awareness of the
dangers, and lowers the risk involved in, working with petrol. The course has both theory and practical
elements so you really get a hands on approach of best practice within the work
place.
AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT
This course demonstrates the correct and safest way to
conduct the airbag deployment procedure and to fully understand the deployment
process. It highlights the potential
dangers dangers and illustrate a safe system of work.
